Using a combination of questions relating to current performance as well as expected performance in a position that would be a promotion, the raters give feedback that is much more candid and realistic. In this way, the candadate receives direct and very honest feedback that is not overrated, out of kindness or good, but misguided, intentions.
The feedback is also actionable because the questions are simple and direct. There are no compound questions that lead to uncertainty in the intrepretation of the results.
In using this method, raters are requested to "take the gloves off" and be direct, candid and hold the person to a high standard.
